Sample Mentor Sites

Add to this post whenever you come upon a website that serves this process. Simply copy & past the url and then add your comments to this blog page. There’s also a downloadable pdf of the checklist.

Alternatively, you can send your suggestions to me: meg@thoughtandpossibility.com. If you email, please put MENTOR SITES in the subject line.

I’ve started us off with three sample sites and will continue to add to this page. Take your time with this exercise. We’ll give you notice in about two weeks that we’re wrapping up.

  • http://trueprosperity.org/ (NOTE: Site is currently timing out.)
For feel & photographs: everything that contributes to the feel of this site-—the images and stories implied by them, the use of white space & type including the large quote.
Shortly after I interviewed Diana Fosha in November, she mentioned this site. It’s very plain, but does a good job of incorporating video and quick newsletter sign-up above the fold.
This site is very impressive for taking a huge amount of info and organizing it in an inviting accessible way. It’s easy to move around and I never feel like I’ve been promised one thing (by the navigation) and receive another.

AEDP Tag Cloud Comments

Please review the five tag clouds below. Each reflects text drawn from a specific AEDP source and each cloud is formatted with the same parameters. Differences you see, therefore,  reflect real differences in content. (When we are all done, I will tell you about the sources.)

ACTION: After you look these over, please suggest  8 words that you think should be most prominent in an “ideal” tag cloud that describes the work of AEDP Institute. Please send me these, no later than Midnight Monday, March 19, 2012.
